[Ken Lavigne] whose credits include roles with the Portland Oregon Opera Company, the Victoria Symphony and Pacific Opera Victoria, gave an outstanding performance as Pernouski, the obsessive real-estate salesman hiding a host of emotional potholes behind his sales figures. Besides giving the audience a smooth and expressive vocal tour, Lavigne created a complex, sad, but ultimately sympathetic character. — The Globe and Mail
