Canada Day
Hello Everyone,
This morning I had the honour of joining many BC dignitaries in welcoming new Canadians as they received their citizenship. I am always proud to take part in this event on Canada Day and participate in the ceremony. On stage with me was the Honourable Lt. Governor of BC Stephen Point. It was nice to have an informal talk with his Honour and he spoke of a song that he had written and will be recorded soon. All proceeds from the sale of the disc will go to charity he and asked if I would be willing to sing on the recording. Who am I to refuse his Honour.
There is some news on the fourth album…. It’s taking a lot longer than I thought it would, but with good reason. With all the touring across Canada, along with the multiple trips to L.A. there has been little opportunity to get into the recording studio for any length of time. Even with all these distractions I am determined to make this the best recording yet and have it released in time for the planned fall tour of Ontario.
Right now I’m resting up in my hotel room for tomorrow’s show in Port Moody. I have to take it easy because I really sprained my ankle badly yesterday…ahem …heroically saving a baby from a dangerous fall.
Happy Canada Day ‘eh
Ken
